Passage of the levy will maintain the current level of programs and services.
A 'yes" vote would mean: --All neighborhood schools will remain open. --Class sizes will remain small. --Children can continue to go to schools they attend on transfers. --Children who live a mile or more from school can ride a school bus. --Children will continue to benefit from current alternative school programs. --Students can choose from current levels of extracurricular activities.
A "no" vote would result in: -- A loss of one or more neighborhood schools, depending on the depth of the cuts. --Increase in class sizes. --The elimination of 200 to 300 jobs. --Redrawn school boundary lines, which would shift thousands of students to new schools. --The elimination of almost all transfers. --Reduced school-bus transportation. --The reduction or elimination of alternative schools. --The reduction of fine-arts and activities programs, or a 'user' fee being adopted.

If the levy doesn't pass student-teacher relationships will not exist because of the high class sizes. This will reduce the number of graduates greatly.
